Not from the BBC but there are people who have posted similar stories.

I think EA underestimated the intelligence of their customers.

Maybe so, but that's not exactly the sentiment being portrayed on the internet at the moment.

True. but all the noises seems to be only about the DRM though and not the game.

Plenty here have even said that if it wasnt for the DRM they would have bought it. So in terms of the actual game. not many have any issues about it

I dunno, there has been a fair few comments about the limits of the city size, being unable to resume from a save point and general bugs. DRM is by far the biggest one but there does seem to be other issues.

Well, I'll add my name to that list. As a game, it sounds pretty exciting, if buggy - and I'm so used to that now it doesn't destroy my interest in the game. But unless it's offline I'm definitely not interested.

The problem is that because of the DRM, many won't buy it to actually find out if there are any further issues with it. I'm in that camp myself.

Oh i have read a couple of reviews and the general impression is exactly that, not bad. Certainly not good enough for me im afraid.

Edit: Metacritic says it all really.

Same here, I will not buy this when the game is in it's current state. I'm not a hardcore SimCity fan or anything and the only SimCity game I played and fell in love was on the SNES where I spent many hours into the night building my City, but this new version looks pretty enough for me want to try it.

The price is way too high, it has over priced DLC textures and am sure there be more DLC's coming for it too.

Added the fact that you can't even play offline puts me off, I travel a lot with my Laptop and play a lot of games while on the train, my current routes have many spots where the connection breaks.

On top of this, there are "mods" that allow you to enter other peoples cities and DESTORY them fully and that you can't even load up a save to restore it makes me want to avoid this game like it was the plauge.

Also, the fact that EA and Maxis lied about the game doesn't want me to put any money in their pockets.
