Think this is a bit of a con guys tbh..Let me explain.
I have P4 3.2 Ghz Northwood 30 Capper (stock, i dont oc).
X800 Saphire Pro Flashed to XT and Fitted with SIlencer 4
1gb Ram.
Anyways. I dl'ed this and gave it the once over and scored about 4300 ish.
Not too bad i hear you say. But my m8 who has a A64 2800. 5900 non Ultra non flashed etc, etc..Got 3500+ on this. And then it hit me. His machine is an Area 51 which he won in a comp. Who sponsors 3DMARK 2005 ???. You guessed it ALIENWARE.
I must be getting cynical in my old age.

not realy..... should be around 2500 - 3000 at the very most...

Well still if furturemark were to do that they would kill of any reputation they have right now as a good benchmark.

The new nvidia drivers must be damn good then, because i only managed 4300 and thats with a ultra overclocked to 440/1.7

Then the rest of your system must be to blame. The score did go up with the updated drivers, but then look here: http://www.techreport.com/etc/2004q3...5/index.x?pg=5

It shows a non-overclocked Ultra (and my mild overclock of my 6800GT puts it in that sort of ballpark) is showing 4 points under 5000. Allowing for my faster CPU (they used 3.4GHz Intel's), and the updates to the drivers, the score I got was about what I was expecting. Give the new drivers a try and report back with your findings.

(go to page 7) shows a 6800GT and 6800Ultra on an AMD64 3000 well ahead of your score. So time you did a bit of tweaking. :-)

Defo somin wrong there m8, as teh scores on the web indicate that Ultras score around 5000. Heck even my 12 pipeline x800pro scores 3800.

Around 2500... 2400+ @ stock, PC2700 @ PC2100, 9800Pro @ Stock, etcetera. Will overclock like a bitch sometime then see how it fares

Well i updated my drivers to the latest Omega's and my score shot up form 3723 to 4478 so i am well chuffed.

I am not happy I have scored a pathetic 4048 with my new A64 3400 system which is lower than my score of 4478 with my old SN45G and Barton 2500. What the hell is wrong, i really am not happy with this new setup.

what was the previous gfx card and what was this recent benchmark done with?

the score is 90% GPU and 10% CPU mate. if you want to compare overall system speed run 3DMark2001 and you will see the 3400 is miles in front of barton.

Its exactly the same gfx card an x800 pro with exactly the same drivers.
