Well I just decided to void my warenty by OCing my 6800 Ultra! While I figured I'd get aleast a 40Mhz extra out of the core I never expected to get any OC on the mem... Dispite all this ocing I went threw It didnt really prove to be worth it! While I tried to get the core to 451 I discoved many artifacts! As for the memory, I have yet to push it...

    Without the OC I scored 5050 - 5100

does anyone know what my memory on my ultra is rated as? I am just wondering how far I can saftly push it...

EDIT: I just found out that not all of the Ultras are made with 1.6 nano seconds ddr3! Luckly mine is... However I also just read that this ram is rated at 600MHz so why is my cards stock at 1.1GHz if it is rated at 1.2? Is this a safty thing?

Just got 3186 on my new 6800 (stock 324/702 non OC/softmodded). Not too shoddy. Kicks my old 9600pro up the arse. That only got 1351.

Will contemplate softmod when I work out how to

Softmodded my 6800 with the new rivatuner 15.3.

    With 16/6 (pixel/vertex) 324/702 (core/mem) I got 3817.

    Rest of system in siggy...

Sound about right for a softmodded 6800?

how come the 6800 cards have such low clocks? my 6600gt is at 600/1200, but i guess due to the lack of pipelines/shaders etc its never going to match a 6800 card i get 3810 3dmarks05 compare...

I think its because they have more pipes etc, and nvidia dont want them too close to GT/Ultras so they lower the clocks.

i only just beat u in 3dmark05 with my 6800 clocked at more o less 400/830, and very similar cpu, Compare
so if my 6800 was clocked at defaults of 325\750 ur 6600 would beat mine in this benchmark, real world games is another thing though.
