I found the solution myself in the end. There's an option in the controls.con file which actually lets you invert the mouse when you're on the map display and for some reason after the patch it had a 1 by it.

Very, very odd...

i had to reinstall bf2 this morning, before which i had no issuses with it at all. now though, everytime i try to log into my account it stops on the "connecting to account server" screen. I'v re-installed twice since this and its still doing the same.


any ideas? its really really annoying

The entire system appears to be down, have just had a look around various forums. Might be related to the alleged hack that uprated loads of peoples accounts.

It was working earlier, played fine at 5-6 when i played but I lost all my stats and i had some good games , 50+

Well chaps I haven't managed to get a game with the 1.02 patch on!
When i try to get on a server following the patch it me I have "modified content" that's if I can get the patch to install at all. Infact in about 20 installs I have only managed to get the patch to install twice without reporting an error. So with all the installing and reinstalling in every way and know to mankind and the WWW I haven't managed to get a game in over a week :-(
I have paid for space on a server and I cannot even get on the flaming thing!

It's time EA got there act together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know this doesn't help anyone, but I'm not having any problems. Installed BF2, and immediately installed the V1.02 patch, followed by a no CD mod.
Its been running fine in single and multi, no problems at all. Played online at 5.45 - 6.00 and about 7.30 - 8.30.
I'm running Windows x64.

server browser seems worse after 1.02 (ish - 1.01 hotfix) longer delays before refreshing, and up to three minutes (or fag break - whichever is longer) to actually connect to a server with a sub-60 ping.
Once you're in - it's fine, but incredibly frustrating.

any way to bypass the logos sequences at teh top - they're even more irritating. fine. I know who made the game, I also know who published the game. I've given you my money - now LEAVE ME ALONE!

If I'm going to slack off on my own time to play games - I want to play games not have to sit through information that I already have!

goto the mods\bf2 folder in ur install directory and rename the files from .bik to something else.
