    Question Nintendo Revolution Anyone?

Anyone gonna get one of these stylish beasts cheap and simple like the gamecube just a barebones console not a mediabox which should appeal to people in a cash sense

You mean like the xbox 360 and ps3 that will have lights and a changable face plate, considering both were found to be cheating at E3 both showing rolling fmv and not actual game footage, I would wait till all three hit the market, see what comes out, wait a year for the price drops and then buy a console. For now the PS2 and the Gamecube do me fine, Res 4 is just to addictive to not play.

I mean that I haven't seen much in the way of tech specs. No confirmed games under development, hell, I haven't even seen rumours over then the control pad (which where poorly made fakes)

this is where nintendo plays it clever though, they don't spout lies or show fake game footage to get hype, they show it when its ready then you see exactly what it can do good move on Nintendo's part though. Although I fear the revolution may turn into another Cube, a few good games to call its own but with the majority of the devlopers leaving to jump ship to sony and xbox the Cube is suffering due to a lack of games. Although, for me, the mario games, the mario kart, and res series have kept me going with the gamecube. Like I said though, long gone are the days I buy on day of release for consoles I will wait a year, wait for the bugs to be ironed out and see whats about for each console.

Only reason I bought the cube on day of release was that it was cheap and I got 5 games with it for £129. The PS2 was pre-ordered due to the fact Sony forgetting to put the region lock on the PS2 so I can play any DVD under the sun on it.

I also bought the Cube on release.

    Impressed by SSBM.

But I felt cheated by Windwaker and Sunshine.

The new Zelda coming is the one thats got my wallet twitching to give the cube something other than Res 4. Looking forward to this new Zelda will be interesting to see how well it plays in full 3D.

The main thing I admire Nintendo for is sticking to the roots of a console, it plays games. They don't see a need for DVD players and the ability to keep a media center on it and fill it with Hard Drives. They keep the prices low because of this. Its about time people started remembering what a console is for, its not a media centre its a console for the purpose of playing games. At the end of the day you could buy a GameCube and a DVD player for far less than a PS3 or Xbox 360 xD In fact if rumors are correct you will be able to pick up the revolution for the same price as a GameCube when they were released.

    I do admit that, yes.

But I went back to the N64.

I am going to buy a 2nd hand GC when the new Zelda comes out (I sold mine originally because I felt cheated from the GC Zelda Demo, the original one). Whats the latest (slipped) release date on it anyway?

Did the 360 and PS3 fake footage? I know they were accused of it, but I thought they both proved it otherwise?

The footage they showed wasn't running on final hardware, but it was actual in-game action.

all ps3 footage, bar an EA boxing game, were pre-rendered videos made by a small company in the south of the UK.

about 50% of the xbox360 footage was pre-rendered, the rest was running realtime on dev kits (which are ~50% weaker than the final console silicon, currently)
