LOL I will post some photos once set up.
But I need to get it back home first and just realised it doesn't fit in my suitcase so may need to be creative and figure out how to get it back in one piece. May just have to leave the least favourite clothes behind in the hotel
Let us know how you get on with it
Sorry, I don't follow you there. hand made virgins?
AFAIK, there are two factories making PS3s. One is in China and one in Japan. The Japanese factory has made them only for sale in Japan, i.e. every Jap console is made in the Jap factory. All consoles sold in the other markets (China, US) have been made in China.
I don't know in which factory the European models will be made.
Or were you referring to something different?
Will do.
So far I have one major gripe. Already owning a PSP, and having adapted myself to the button structure, the Jap models have the "OK" and "cancel" buttons switched around. So whilst the pictures for the buttons on the controllers are the same (cross at the bottom, circle on the right IIRC), here, bottom button = cancel, right button = OK. Driving me nuts at the moment! Maybe there's a way to change that somehow. Will do some digging.....

I think he was referring to the rather harsh treatment us Brits seem to suffer price-wise compared to our US/EU counterparts
what about games though?? are u stuck with them in japanese?? or can the langauge be changed ??
also can the console langauge be changed??
another thing i was wondering what is the region coding like for ps3's?? i know blu ray films have it but what about games?? will it play uk games??
if u answer yes to all i will be very jealous
The PS3 can be reset to English language... it asks you what language you want on first boot.
You have to change the language for each of the BD and DVD playback menus but there's just one option for the system as a whole (ie the front end)
Games are region free, so Japanese, US, European games will all work.
BD disks are region locked to Region A, which is Asia and the US, so you can happily import US language BD to watch.
PS. I'm running mine on my Toshiba LCD tv... it looks bloody amazing!
I finally registered mine last night to a Dental Surgery in Beverly Hills, Ca, USA
Downloaded the GT HD and F1 demos and it looks very promising when playing at 480i. Can't wait to get home now
You can register multiple master accounts, so at the moment, I have a US one, but will reg a UK / European one once that's possible (not at the moment of course).
My only concern was the locking of online play, i.e. a Jap game or console would only connect to the Jap server. This was confirmed by insomniac with Resistance. However, it sounds like that was more a game decision than a system / Sony decision.
Lots of people with RR7 play against Jap and US guys so it's not a system-wide lock down, at least at the moment!
very nice and for that price its a great buy
planning on picking up a yank one myself in March
That is technically two words
