Nooooo. Gold's no good... you need 99.99999999999999% Oxygen free triple braided, Plutonium shielded cables with matrix-reflux suppressors for absolute image clarity... with solid gold (NOT plated) connections for ultimate performance.

But, all pee taking aside, a decent SCART cable does give a noticeably better picture than some £2.99 jobby from the pound shop.

I can't comment on HDMI cables as I've only got the one, which cost me a tenner and seems to do the work perfectly well. (I've wrapped it in tinfoil and tucked the loops into a special lead and asbestos box for good measure, if that's any consolation...)

Which is why I said I can't comment cos I've opnly got the one HDMI cable.

But I do think there's a threshold where no matter how much you spend, you just won;t notice any improvement.

Hey, that looks really really cool tfboy.

I was just wondering what you have to power it? Can it run on 240V? And if so what cable do you need for it?
(I'm thinking of getting an American console).

And it's a standard IEC mains lead. Like one that goes into your existing kettle / PC preferably with a 5 amp fuse in it

Aye, that'll do it... but any spare PC PSU lead will do... or just use a plug adaptor on the lead that comes with it.

I'll try and add a few movie screenshots when I get home.

Now have Chicago, T2 and Black Hawk Down which I watched a few nights ago. The picture and sound quality was awesome. BHD particularly made me feel slightly nauseous on the big screen. Initial opening scene was pretty bad picture quality wise but the rest was fantastic.
