10, Jetpack - ZX Spec, I remember spending days and days stuck to the TV screen trying to complete this when I was about 5, probably the game that got me into video games

9, Jet Set radio - DC, Redefining graphics, I remember first playing this and saying WOW, its incredible, and has set the standard for many other games, such as the new zelda and the like

8, Monkey Island - PC, another gem of my child hood, I remember first playing this on a what I think was a 10mhz machine, I was enthraled, such a great RPG that took me AGES to complete

7, Mario 3 - NES, my personal favourite mario game, great graphics at the time, and probably the best 2d side scrolling game ever made, I loved this game to bits, superb

6, Half Life - PC, I dont rate this as high as most people.....I never liked the 1p game that much but counter....need I say any more?

5, Mario Kart - SNES. You gotta love it, the gameplay is amazing, Id still sooner play this over Mario Kart 64 and even double dash, true classic

4, Wolfenstein 3D - PC, first first person shooter, wasnt it ? Back in the day I remember my mate cracking it up on 286DX.......Compared to the only other games I'd played, like tetris on the B&W GB, you can imagine how my jaw dropped to the floor, amazing for the time, and I still love it now.

3, Zelda, A Link to the past - SNES, got it for christmas probably 10 years or so ago now, my favourite of all the zeldas (Ocarina of time coming close) Almost the best RPG ever.....but...

2, Final F 7 - PSX, here we go, you know the score, I played this little game for 100 or so hours, the graphics on FF8 and 9 were so much better, but gameplay ? 8 was not even a patch on it, I enjoyed this 10X as much

1, Goldeneye - N64, needs no introduction, first game I got on my N64, and the only N64 game Ive still got, apart from Doom and Wolf 3d, this was the first proper 3d game I'd played or owned, and it was truely amazing, graphics still arnt too bad today, sure theyve been surpassed, but gameplay ? Im not sure your going to beat it, Ive completed the game in everyway and I still have fun messing about on 007 mode...did I mention the multiplayer? Many a weekend spent playing that

    In no particular order.

Return Fire - 3DO Brilliant multiplayer game - played for a few years solid.

Knights of the Republic - Most favorite game last year, and one ive enjoyed more than any other for a good few years.

Formula One - CRL - Spectrum - Formula one management game - first management game i played, loved it, played it again recently and its still good.

Alter Ego - Commodore 64 - Life simulator - Absolutely brilliant game that again plays brilliant today - not many games you can get killed by a peadophile at 10 or live to have 15 kids.

Civilisation - PC - Could play this for months when it came out.

If i was stranded on a desert island - id take these - they all are pretty open ended, apart from KOTR, but it was so enjoyable, i couldnt leave it out.

    1) Shenmue (DC)
    2) Balders Gate 1 (PC)
    3) Monkey Island 3 (PC)
    4) Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 (PC)
    5) Max Payne (PC)

I could probably do a top 20 as I have played so many superb games in the past, but these 5 are the ones I enjoyed the most.

Re: Top 5 All Time Games?

    5. Guitar Hero series: PS2/PS3 - a blokes dance mat, genius! also good with no one around

    4. C&C Generals: PC - my favourite from the series along with its expansion Zero Hour.

    3. Assassins Creed: PS3 - Blown away by everything about this game, even the TV released trailers - Altair rules

    2. Call of Duty Modern Warfare: PS3 - Absolute genius of an FPS, never had so much fun online and offline playing an FPS through a console

    1. Metal Gear Solid series: PS/PS2/PS3 - pure genius, there was a dip in fun with metal gear 2 but was very well recovered with Snake Eater and hopefully will go out with a bang on the release of metal gear 4

    XBOX: BauerPrime
