    Well...I have some more footage going up in the next 10 minutes, and the little birds are now sitting on 9 eggs

    They seem to share the sitting, and also leave the box unattended while they forage together sometimes.

    And they've taken to covering the eggs with feathers while they're out

    It's all very exciting and quite quite cute

    Very Cool video. I counted 10 eggs at the end! That'll be a LOT of mouths to feed. What sort of survival rate are you expecting/is normal? 50%?

    Also, I seem to remember watching the bird watching series Bill Oddie did about this time a couple of years ago, and they had problems with woodpeckers. Does the box have a metal sheet around the hole to stop 'peckers enlarging it at all?

    Heh I remember doing something similar when the kids were little with a cam above the cot and an old weather station fom the server room at work Better than yr average baby monitor.
