    I find there is no difference between pan scrambled egg and the microwave, I always microwave them.

    microwave is good for rubberised scrambled eggs. And you get flecks of white, which make me want to vom.
    On a stove top, removing from heat when eggs are still just a bit snotty and immediately adding cream, or creme fraiche, makes scrambled eggs a different wonder of a meal to behold.

    My kids did their first unsupervised cooking in my combo microwave. They preheated the oven and then put the timer on for 30 minutes and used the micro by mistake.
    The nuked pizza was actually usable as tool for milling titanium.

    Yep, take eggs off the heat just before they are properly cooked and by the time they are on the plate they will be perfect.

    I do remember my uncle bringing back a couple of 'tatos for my brother and I to bake. Wish we had had a microwave back in the day. 4hrs later, even with 2 skewers pushed through them, on full heat they weren't baked. They were massive tatties though.

    Porridge, defrosting and warming stuff up are the only things I use a microwave for.

    Quite so funkstar. Perhaps I should have written out the method in full.
    and adding fat, like stirring in cream, creme fraiche or soft cheese, stops any further cooking.
