    Operating Microwaves in Zombie Mode

I'm clearly missing my nanny state message about operating equipment in zombie mode, seems speed defrost and cook in my microwave do very different things.

Interesting to see half my microwave on fire

i've now got a rather nice black mark heh.

I thought i'd share to save the rest of you

Speed defrost? Pah. My microwave has Chaos Defrost!

I've yet to try it. In fact, in all the years I've used a microwave, I've only ever used it on full blast. That's probably a good thing - given that speed defrost causes a small fire, imagine what havoc CHAOS defrost could cause.

Chaos defrost is brilliant, especially for frozen things.

I really don't understand why microwaves have any more than the two settings that any one needs.

    1. NUKE.

    2. For how long Sir/Madam?

Which I have reduced even further to

    1. How long?

because the default would just be nuke. It would save alot of bother.

Can someone tell me why microwaves have timers that go up to an hour? I mean, who's going to microwave something for that long?

You need to cook something for an hour or more, you really should be using an oven.

You need the 1 hour timer thingy for when your kids goldfish died and they want to cremate it.

I once microwaved a kebab after a particularly messy night out.

I found it 4 days later when I went to microwave some beans.

    Not pretty.

rastamanblues, you missed the part where I mentioned the night was "messy". It's a fact that kebabs are only bought by those so drunk they are barely able to walk

Dareos, when I managed to control the heaving, yes, it was very tasty

I never use a microwave for cooking things.

I prefer the taste of oven baked or grilled as opposed to radiated and nuked

Microwaves are great for thing like softening onions while you are too busy to saute them, or making porridge, or heating baked beans.
