Persisting it down all day here in York.

Just payed nearly four grand for new roofs, gutters and plastering a couple of months ago and the b*****d kitchen extension roof is leaking with all this ridiculous amount of water piling on it!

It actually got sunny here for a brief while! Still pretty cold though and drizzling again now.

Quite glad how mild it's been considering the stories!

It's been raining that bad all the motorways are shut and you aren't allowed to leave Meadowhall Shopping Centre.

Glad I stayed in bed till about an hour ago.

Whereabouts in York are you rox0r? I'm up monkton road and elmfield terrace is partially flooded but the wife says hopgrove roundabout is pretty bad.

No new news about the 13 yr old but they've sealed off the park where it happened

I'm on Tang Hall Lane, obviously miles away from flooding here but the missus says she had a right polarva getting around the outskirts in the car due to roads being flooded out.

Looking at it outside it feels like it could be getting ready for a storm, looks like we're in for more of the same. Dread to think what the Ouse will do over the next 48hrs...

Most I saw today was high rivers in Strensall and Huntington, but then I haven't gone out much today. Never driven when there's been so much rain on the road - especially on the small country type roads. My mum said that Wigginton pond was now unrecognisable, but I forgot to look as I went past.
