They're the reason i wont use ebuyer anymore. Have also had horrible delivery problems on several occasions.
A while ago i ordered a new chip and some ram. The ram wasn't very well packaged - just sandwiched between cardboard. When i looked inside the second package that was supposed to contain my processor i found a necklace someone had ordered from Gems.tv.
Luckily the guy came back and switched them.

He should leave cards - but - he can't leave parcels with your neighbour - he is under contract from the person who shipped it - not you.

My main gripe with citylink is the lies. They say they tried to deliver, but despite being in all day didn't see anything. On multiple occasions and different locales.
I one heard a noise and went to the door to find a city-link card had just been pushed through saying "We tried to deliver, but you were out". No doorbell, no knock. Why?

I've had that once. It was on a Saturday delivery so I was pretty mad that I'd paid extra and been carded for not being in (I was in all day, didn't hear a thing). Apart from that, Citylink have always been good. I usually get the same guy who delivers to my house who's a really nice chap (and must bench press a few hundred kilos since he lifted up my Antec P182 above his head without a problem).

yeah, its just that the last guy was fine leaving it in the shed or with a neighbour, guess he wasn't so strict/formal as the new guy

I find this the most frequent problem. Their "not so realtime" system informs me at 17.00 that a delivery attempt was made at 12, and the house was carded. I never get a card because the driver never stops at my house. If i ring up their callcentre, they just ask "do you have a white front door sir?", come on, 90% of the houses in most streets have a white front door!
Before 6 months ago, Citylink were great delivering to my area (from the Swansea depot), parcels always turned up on the correct day, and in good condition. I dont know what has happened since then but i wouldnt rely on them anymore. When i go to the depot to pick up my parcels, there are always queues of people with the same gripe as mine, citylink lied and said they carded the house because nobody was there even tho they waited in all day.
Its a shame more online retailers dont offer an alternative to citylink.
