    Scan and City Link Score Again

    Order submitted 07.15 yesterday morning , Text from Scan at 17.30 to inform me order had been dispatched , City Link guy ' chappin ' on my door at 15.15 today. Customer NOT IN. Card left and will get ' better half ' to pick up order tomorrow. How simple can that be , and I live 'at the end of the earth'.

    citylink/scan should offer a collect@depot save carding addresses when ppl wont be in.

    When I was in London, the Citylink deliveries were not the most reliable. But in MK, I have had one delivery and that was done as promised. Driver was quite a nice guy too. Not grumpy like the London ones. But then I would be pretty if I had to drive around London all day.

    I'm on the outskirts of London (Surrey) and have to say that Citylink are not bad. They've certainly improved their service over the last few years imho.

    I can well remember when that green and yellow van was the kiss of death for trying to get goods on time.

    Well, to be honest they're neither the worst or the best of carrier companies. However I do wonder if they're charging an arm and a leg to Scan though because of the high value goods being sent constantly, for comparison another carrier company charges us £4.80 per box up to 30KG, with additional consignments to the same address at £4.00 per box and that's only based on 1,000 parcels a week.

    since changing my address (not actually changing my house, removed a line from my address which i think were spazzing out their drivers), i've found them a lot better than they were.

    i've had a 100% delivery rate so far whereas before i was lucky to get 1 in 10 deliveries first time, which is why i used to avoid companies that use citylink.

    Well, just got back from my 50 mile round trip to pick up two parcels that the driver "ran out of time" to deliver to me on Tuesday or Wednesday.
