I rather say "pc gone mad" based on a real story rather than a fake one, but each to their own eh?
I rather trust a statement from the Red Arrows than some article/petition without a credible source. But you can believe whatever you want (although since you don't believe anything, either fake or real, I don't know where you get your facts from).I trust your link about as much as I trust The Sun.
It is also hardly beyond the realms of possibility that the atoms that make the human body can go through walls based on quantum theory. So some people not wanting to see the red arrows there, is hardly beyond the realms of possibility.
Also, directly from their website if you have don't know much about the Red Arrows:
The Red Arrows took delivery of the British Aerospace Hawk trainer in the autumn of 1979 and during that winter the pilots converted from the Gnat and worked up a display using the new aeroplane in time for the 1980 display season. Since being introduced into service with the Red Arrows, the Hawk has taken the Team on tours of eastern and western Europe, the USA and Canada, the Middle and Far East, Africa, the former Soviet Union and Australia. The 4000th display flown in the Hawk was at Royal Air Force Leuchars' Battle of Britain Airshow in September 2006.
Since the Team’s creation in 1965, the Red Arrows have flown over 4,000 displays in 52 countries. Today the Red Arrows are renowned throughout the world, acting as ambassadors for Great Britain when displaying overseas. They also support UK industry by demonstrating the capabilities of British equipment and expertise.
But hey, at the end of the day, we can't let fact get in the way of a good rant, can we?

The thing is that the Red Arrows are about as military as the RAF Air/sea rescue teams. They do a job that requires military training, and military kit, but those red planes aren't used to bomb innocents in Iraq.
OK the story is bollocks anyway, but if they were banned it would be stupid. To equate the hawk trainer aircraft with nukes or stealth bombers is just not fair. The Red Arrows pilots may, previously, have been part of the mass-murder festival in Iraq, but while they are flying the Red Arrows they are as military as a firework display.

Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet intakes.
although the hawks are military aircraft, and are sold to many countries in that capacity

But the red colour does sort of argue against them being for military purposes. It's not the best disguise around.
Having said that, a subsonic jet flying overhead with red, white and blue smoke pouring out of the back would be pretty obvious even if it were invisible.

whats wrong with being proud of our military. i'm sure if they could tax a fly pass it would be allowed

Untrue - from the Brown's mouth
This non story was on arrse weeks ago and drew the same response. It's not true. The sad thing is that we now live in a country whereby so many people would not be surprised if it was.

Actually, there could be an element of the truth to this. Generally speaking, single engine aircraft are not allowed to fly over central London in case of an engine failure. It was for this reason Harriers were not allowed to fly over in the Falklands flypast this summer. The Spitfires and Hurricanes got special permission last year for the Queen's flypast as they could ditch in the Thames if anything went wrong. If the Red Arrows were banned from the Olympics, it would be for this reason, not for anything PC.
You where the one ranting, using uppercase and "geez" and sounding like your british pride was hurt.
I'm just defending the people who said its "PC gone mad", because it would be if it where true. And no, I don't automatically believe the MOD just because they are the MOD.
