I eat like a severely fat person addicted to cake, yet for some ungodly reason I cannot get my weight past 12 stones no matter what I do.
.... you all hate me now don't you?
When me & my other (most say better) half got together she used to be like a rake and obsessive about it. In the (works it out) 7 years we've been together she's up from averaging around 8st 10 to around 9st 6 and is much better for it. Has more energy, less illness and has a nice big bum for it
SODDING HELL! 7 years, with prison I'd have been up for parole by now.
EDIT: For some reason this topic made me dig out my Beautiful South album and load up "Perfect 10"

Its my height thats the problem, if i was 9'7" i'd be spot on !
I relate. My metabolism went completely haywire in my early teens. I've found myself 5-7kg lighter overnight from skipping dinner once. Quite unbelievable, but I had lots of witnesses and the scale didn't appear faulty when tested with others.
Guess what's my favourite ice cream.
I have to watch out a lil these days though. I can still hog food, but I try to exercise when I can. And my weight does not crash so abnormally anymore.

my weight was ok, then i went away for 6 weeks on a training course, stuck in a B&B with another guy on the same course eating out and getting pissed every night, so i now need to lose a stone.
24.7 on the BMI
I'd say fat, as i'd be a lot happier if i had more muscel less emergency food reserve.
So gym it is, only issue is i'm aiming to improve my blood oxgygen pusle level thingie, we have a posh gym in our building, once i actually do as i've been told (and as the neato little keys have been programmed) hopefully my asthma will be virtually no problem then i'll worry about improving my look.

I wouldn't put too much focus on BMI tbh, I think it was here on Hexus that I saw a link to some pics of people that were apparently overweight, obese etc. yet to the eyes were definitely not!
Gain a bit of over average muscle and you can easily become 'overweight' or perhaps 'obese' according to BMI, yet you may be very fit and lean!
@ Tigs:

Excercise is still the best weight reduction, my mums been buying those bloody slimfast crap for years and never really lost any weight and yet ive been telling her for years and years that they dont work and to do some excercise, im there saying take the dog for a nice long walk love along the river(which is a good couple of miles) il bet you start to loose weight. And after like 10 years of telling her all this she finnaly started taking the dog for a walk every saturday with some help from the old fart is well whos been saying the same thing and finnaly started to loose some weight and now i get the constant "OO OO IVE LOST WEIGHT AGAIN.... LOOK LOOK AT HOW MUCH WEIGHT IVE LOST"
well my advice must have been bouncing alround in her ears for dozen years and finnaly reached the bloody recieving end. Oh well god bless her anyway.

Hell and Fire was spawned to be released.
I believe I'm relatively *normal*... BMI: 23.5
I seem to be eating a lot healthier than I used to and I seem to need a belt a bit more as more often than not I find my trousers around my ankles

I am 67kg and 6'2" so I'm on the normal section of the bmi thingy. Not fat either but I eat alot of junk
but mostly after eating the junk food I go for a loooooooooong bike ride with my friends. It helps
Not fat, 21 ish on the BMI thing.
BMI is a load of tosh. The Mass in BMI doesn't consider what kind of mass your talking about; Fat or muscle, so it defaults to fat if I'm not mistaken. So if your 5'10 and 16 stone but mostly muscle you would be considered obese and close to death yet your probably healthier than someone with a normal BMI, if we assume that you train and eat correctly in order to maintain your muscle mass.
I'm about 5'10 and 18 stone, I am very definitely fat now but I don't look 18 stone. It's a lot to do with your body type as well. Personally speaking I could never get as low as 11 or 12 stone and be in the healthy zone of the BMI, never ever; I'm big boned with broad shoulders... I'm naturally heavy. My normal weight is about 14-15 stone. It was stable at that weight for years, but being in uni and not having the time to go cycling has attributed to me putting 3 stone on less than three years. Now that all that is behind me I have time to cycle again and am loosing weight finally.
EDIT: Oh, forgot to say. If the government wants to stop the nation eating it's self to death they need to do three things. 1) Get people more active with focused exercise, 2) Remove the sheer amount of junk that is available on the supermarket shelf and 3) Teach kids the basics of good nutrition in the latter years of primary school or at the start of secondary education. I am not talking about cooking, just basic nutritional information.
End of argument, that is what needs to happen. Sounds righteous of me, but thats how it should go. I firmly believe that as food and quick to make food has become more and more available over the last 10-20 years or so, people have literally forgotten how to eat properly and how to cook. It also doesn't help that in this country everyone is running up their own asses and haven't got time to prepare and make proper meals. Everything is rush, rush, rush and work, work, work. It's no good.

6'3" and 83Kg....which makes me 22.8....the perfect weight. Which is a load of bollocks, as I'm way too skinny.
Plus, I eat crap a lot and don't do any exercise. If I don't change soon I'll be having a heart attack by the time I'm 40.....Screw this BMI nonsense, it's daft.
