John Lewis using pirated movies to promote iMacs

What better way to show off the display capabilities of Apple iMacs in your store than to display pirated copies of movies such as Pirates of the Caribean? You should know better John Lewis, don't be a knock-off Nigel.

stupid thing is - they could just get a dvd from their dvd section rather than take the time to download the stuff...

Re: John Lewis using pirated movie to promote iMacs?

I would of looked into minimising the movie being played, and looked for proof there were more than a single film on there. And then possibly got the police involved.

Would be interesting to know if the store is still displaying this, or other divx/xvid's on there.

How would showing a crappy xvid rip show of the fancy high res screen that can probably display bluray content (or atlest HDDVD/Blueray rips)

I was sorely tempted, but I was in a hurry so just took a couple of pics and headed upstairs.

Someone should photoshop the 3rd picture to read

More Fun, more Piracy. more MAC I would but I am poor at Photoshop.

I would submit it and get some free vouchers tell them you will inform MAC
