I think this is all Kane's master plan! The machine will open a gateway for us to reach our destiny in the Scrins galaxy! For NOD!

Okay so jokes a side and all well I am a little worried here. Especially considering I had no idea of this machine at all and my spiritual freaky aunty told me the world will end in 2008

Well if they do recreate a black hole I'm happy with the fact that if the end of the world does occur France will be the first place to be sucked into it

If scientists never took chances like this we'd all still be in caves wondering how the heck to keep warm and stuff like that.

It's my mates birthday near to the time CERN and LHC goes live so we're thinking of having an "end of the world" party just for the excuse of having it really

any specific bit of it? if it's soon i won't bother renewing my house insurance the end of the world is nigh anyway, one way or t'other. just hope it doesn't muck up the space time continuum & we all start meeting ourselves coming back like Billy the Whizz. got enough trouble without having all my parallel-universe selves tripping over each other & expecting to be put up in the spare room.

Re: Does this scare anyone else?

Of course, another good point is, Wales won the Grand Slam and beat England so i am more than happy to go now!! lol

Also, all the money that has gone into developing / building it is such a bloody waste! All that money could have been spent on the Homeless, Sick, Hospitals etc etc.

Don't give me that rubbish about it is important we learn things like that people say we can from these machines. Total waste of money. Put the money towards helping Cancer etc etc, not big bang theories etc.

Re: Does this scare anyone else?

I can not agree with you there Koolpc, its far far from being a waste. Its worth having a read up on the various avenues this device could open for humanity. The advancements in one area usually effect the advancements in another, perhaps including some of those you mentioned - who knows until we look?

You could have said the same thing about the world being flat, embryo research and 'humans shouldn't fly'.

I still think the money would have been better spent on the Starving, Hospital, Homeless, Poverty etc

Don't worry Koolpc. This may be Noah's flood revisited. Every now and then, there has to be a good ol' clear out.
