Dell mice, grrrrr, scurge of the earth!!

does anyone else hate dell's mice

the ones with the following info on the bottom:

they make my hand cane, but i have to use them as it's all thats available at college
i'm gonna end up bringing my own!!

it makes my hand hurt and the buttons have next to no resistance on them and they can be pressed from too far back (the very back of the mouse.....), so i keep pressing the wrong things.

anyone else have this problem??

look like poo but are actually pretty good. and cause there less than £3 it doesn't matter if someone spills there brew on it

Looks exactly the same as my Acer mini laptop mouse which was horrid so i threw it in the bin.

edit: actually this reminds me of college, which was a mac haven for some daft reason, so i had to use one of these:

Got a stack of those Dell mice.
Lack the weight and feel of their predicessors (made by Logitech).
Had to get them when Logitech discontinued their box-of-5 MX310 and UltraX Optical's (which are superb for office use)

The 5 button versions are acceptable IMHO but the 3 button ones are a whole step worse.

Regardless they kick seven shades of the proverbial out of the Kensington mice my predicessor subjected his users to!

Heh, got a really basic Dell Mouse here and I been trying to break the mousewheel from overuse...still keeps going amazingly enough.

I think a few people at work have the same mouse that you posted a picture off (wireless too) and I don't see then getting cheesed off at their mice...although there are not veyr computer savvy...

We use Dell mice at work (as do millions and millions of others), and I find them perfectly fine to use. You must just have wonky hands, TAKTAK...

seriously though i actually have to stop using the computers in physics resource room and go hunt for one somewhere else, and if i can't find one elsewhere then i just get stuck using keyboard shortcuts , its only the 1 room that has the annoying mice, but it's the only room that has computers free and is open access

We had about 50 of those mice kicking around, they were rubbish so we sent them all back

the newer all black ones are better, but still nowhere near as good as the old logitech ones..

They hurt my hands too... something to do with either the length or height of the hump...

I had to use one of the dell mice in the pic (not the wireless one) and got on fine with it for 6 months, day in day out use.

Yes it wasnt the best mouse in the world, but it served its purpose.

Glad ive got my Microsoft Habu at home though
