This is because I mentioned chutney in his codeine thread isn't it?
Allen, I'm sorry for mentioning chutney in your codeine thread.
Please accept my sincere and humble apologies for mentioning chutney in your codeine thread.

I try a balance of funny, serious and weird.. so i'm kind of on stewarts and clunks side, but also kind of on the serious side too - how else would i learn new things?
I'm reserving my 'wacky' side to welcome and general discussion and trying to be serious in all the other sections.. I have derailed quite a few threads - never got the measurements of zakks balls though..
I occasionally get things wrong too.. but due to my recent 'awareness' courses i've been on, i'm not afraid to openly admit i was wrong..
i also learned that you need a balance of serious and not-so-serious - it keeps you stress free and regular..
don't know why i am writing all this, it just seems the way that this thread has gone.. (can't think of any monday jokes to get it back on-topic, sowwy stew)
On a serious note, over the last few weeks I've been talking with various HEXUS members, some of them long time members, some of them mods. The people who should know, in short.
And the same things tend to pop up, which is, in polite language - **** me HEXUS is boring these days.
And the reason its boring, is because there are too many Allens. Too many people who not only never say anything interesting, or funny, but moan when someone else tries to.
Don't you realise that if HEXUS becomes the grey lifeless place you seem to want it to be, it would be a much poorer place.
6500 posts you've made, and if you disapeared tomorrow, nobody would notice or indeed care.
Think about that next time you feel a moan coming on.
I, on the other hand, am an accomplished song writer http://forums.hexus.net/general-disc...s-one-all.html
An IT (and prize winning) expert http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-hardwa...s-project.html double
Video games oracle http://forums.hexus.net/gaming-news/...-opinions.html
And banjo eating world champion.
Seriously though, as you can see from those examples, I actually put some effort into my posts, when the occasion calls for it. Having a go at Clunk I can understand, his talents begin and end with posting pictures of monkies.
I actually try.
Maybe you'd like to link to some of your funnier or more well written, helpful posts?
I tell you this mush, I'll put my contribution to HEXUS over the years next to yours any day of the week.
What have you ever posted thats worth a mention?

Would I be missed? Now I feel self concious
I'd miss you baby cakes. x

thank rate percentages.. thanks / total posts * 100
allen - 0.4
stewart - 1.93
clunk - 3.57
taktak - 4.51
staffsmike - 5.36
stevie lee - 6.2
whos more useful now?
my kettle.
That's good to know
I might not leave hexus if we didn't have a clunk or a stewart (to name but a few) anymore but I would get bored of it I think.
I enjoy helping out in the Hardware forum (obviously) but I do find myself in GD and Lifestyle more and more now where you need the characters
In fairness, the Thanks thing wasn't even around when I first started posting (much like most of those in question right now) so your maths isn't quite right stevie
Here is a monkey
The thanks system comes a distant 2nd to actually posting something that stands out once in a while, I think most people would agree.
Anyway, lets wait for Allen to link to some of his brilliant, hillarious, thought provoking, useful, and just generally amazing posts!!1!111!!111
crap aez is more usefull now.. 7.14 well done (grumbly grumble..)
and who else is thirsty all of a sudden?
i didnt know the thanks was fairly recent, but its something i use to measure the worthwhileness of people though..
and HEXUS is the only forum i go on, due to me being scared of talking to people, so all these not so serious threads help me to get over my shyness by me realising, whats the point of being serious all the time?
so they are usefull.. and if they stop, i might crawl back under the rock i was living under for the past 5 years..
my sanity rests on this forum being the way it is!!
(this post makes sense to me so i'm not editing it to make it make more sense to you, its just something i felt needed saying at this time..)

Yeah, hang on, I was posting for years before the thanks system came in. So your maths are bollocks, as pointed out.
staffsMike (14-07-2008)
