I didn't like olives or anchovies, but one day on holiday my dad brought these over while I was swimming and they were exactly what I wanted to eat at the time and I've liked them ever since. They come in small tins in the supermarkets like this:

They do red-pepper stuffed and garlic stuffed ones too.

Never tried white-pudding... I'd give it a go though, it looks alright.

A white pudding supper i'm pretty sure is exclusive to Scotland. Chips = deep fried carbs, white pudding = battered deep fried carbs.

    Wonderful

Re: Strangest thing you have eaten

I need to stop posting in this thread, all this talk of food is making me (even more) hungry

Food here is pathetic, and scarce. If the supply boat that is meant to be here first thing in the morning doesn't make it, i'm pretty sure there will be a strike.... and they can get ugly.

    Camel.
Octopus. Don't recommend that. LIke chewing a waterballoon, esp in contrast to squid, which is clearly lovely.
Um... I'm quite adventurous, foodwise. There's little I don't try. Except bananas and plums. Would quite like to try dog.

I am a lot more adventurous with food now than I used to be though. When I was a kid and we used t go to the Indian restaurants, I'd be like, chicken and chips please.

I can tell you now, dog smells very...well to me the smell of cooked dog is very off putting to the point I can't think about eating it let alone do the deed.

You can get stuffed olives on the deli counter at Sainsbury's (and probably most other large supermarkets) there days, gotta love the feta stuffed ones...

When were in Colorado, we had Rocky Mountain Oysters, (Prairie Oysters) as a starter Link. Very tasty they were too!

Is white pudding really that strange?

Back home in Plymouth, my mother used to get it a lot (she always called it hogs pudding though), since I moved to London 11 years ago I haven't been able to find anywhere here that sells it, only black pudding
