Re: Strangest thing you have eaten

    Some beer can.

Someone told us you can eat beer cans. You try and break of small bits of beer cans and chew a bit before swallowing. I only managed to eat a bit. I have sensitive teeth. Someone else who was with us ate a fair bit of beer can. Although, I've never known of anyone eating a whole beer can or even half.

I have also seen somone eat a cigarette butt sandwhich.

Oh yeah, when I was youner I ate dirt.

Re: Strangest thing you have eaten

I have eaten durian, which smells like a long-dead mouse, and tastes worse. I also ate a smorgasbord of crap for my 21st birthday, I was in Iran at the time. The guys I worked with made me try all of the food in the Faroushka Bezorg (supermarket) cafeteria. I had pickled sheep's brain, boiled sheep's testicles, rice that had been baked into a hard yellow lump with loads of lamb fat, lamb fat, a sausage made from the penis of a sheep, emptied out and minced and then replaced and cooked. Actually, they had to hold me down for that one. Olives pickled in vodka, tiny little fish in some kind of jelly (they were hideous).

Later, in Hong Kong, I was asked to eat steamed chickens feet, but I took a nibble and then feigned an apocalyptic vision or something to avoide having to eat the rest.

    (Thanks Evilmunky)

Just kidding, I was tricked by my own uncle into eating a small piece of it. Its not very tasty, but is considered a delicacy is some countries as its quite rare and expensive.

Armadillo (bit like a piece of meaty melon in apearance) and Possum (allegedly - but there was a long rat like tail thing, so it might have been... rat). Wasn't particularly unpleasnt, but I wouldn't queue to eat it again. Mountain chicken was off the menu that night - it is a type of frog. It aas part of a 22 course meal in Grenada, West Indies.

There is a restaurant in Glasgow I am desperate to visit. Its speciality is a selection of obscure meats from around the world. None of the disgusting parts, it's all the normal cuts, just of animals other than cow, sheep, pig and chicken. Can't remember what the place is called though.

As far as food goes, not averse to trying a few things, but i generally prefer my mums cooking to alligator testicles, so i stick to that

Durian is a brilliant fruit Tasty

So is chickens feet I order it whenever we go to the restaurant in Bournemouth (Ocean City or Ocean Palace or something along those lines).

Probably not so strange is alligator tail. That was quite nice too.

Dunno if people would think its strange but I've eaten raw salmon, tuna and beef. Raw food is brilliant...why do people cook it?!

Ahh yeah, when I was younger my parents tried making me eat pigs trotter, pigs intestines and some dish that was cooked in pigs blood. Didn't like any of them but strangely enough I do like black pudding...work that one out.
