    1) Saw William Hague at a politics conference in london
    2) At same conference saw George Galloway own people with stupid questions
    3) That's about it, the rest is balanced out by negativity/cynicsm

Every cloud has silver lining....it also contains alot of rain!

Re: What was great about 2008? [A thread of positivity]

Thinking about it, I have had an outstanding year

    1) I have (effectively) had 4 months holiday on full pay this year, I now have found a new role at the company and have a new job which I enjoy a lot more than my previous job.

    2) I earned £11k in vouchers through a work incentive, which bought me massive upgrades (quad core overhaul, 2 x 24" TFT's, 4gb RAM and a nice 4870), a 50" 1080p plasma tell, an xbox, a wii, a new teeny tiny 11" laptop and a pair of Denon DN-HS5500's (digital media decks).

    3) I went to Portugal with my missus which was very relaxing, and then in September I went to Ibiza with 7 of my mates to properly rinse it up which was frankly, fecking awesome.

    4) I got myself in the Times with a letter to my MP
    HEXUS FOLDING TEAM It's EASY

I hope he had rotten fruit and veg thrown at him, although I'm sure it would have been in the news if he had.

I absolutely hate him. Whenever I've seen him on Question Time or whatever he just shouts random nonsense to drown out the good points his opponents are making.

He got mocked alot, but he gave as good as he got. I find him funny to watch, especailly when he argues. People kept refering to the BB incident and he just went 'because that's original...'

Probably was. They are very easy now apparently - even more so than when I did them in 2002, when they were complaining how easy it was compared to the 1990s.

Don't mean to put down your achievement Will, well done, its still great to get top grades!

    1) Hexus Social - has been frigging awesome - Went to my first LAN with the H3XU5 team.
    2) Raving... have raved it up hard this year with my crew - Went to Global Gathering for the first time and will be going back!
    3) Have managed to secure and keep, frankly, the best job - have been moved from front end dev to general dogsbody dev.
    4) Ran my own contracting service for a small company - still doing it!
    5) Proved a lot to myself - mainly that I can do this by myself.
    6) Learnt to snowboard - am returning for week 2 next weekend!!
