War has never been *so* much fun.
It was an awesome game. That and Sensi Soccer ate months of my youth. Going more old skool - anyone remember R-Type, Turrican, Shinobi or Uridium? I was trying to talk to the guys at work (who are all at least as old as me) about the joys of Horace Goes Skiiing and Chuckie Egg t'other day and had to resort to YouTube to demonstrate their awesomeness.
Kids these days eh? Don't know they're born.
Heard of cannon fodder but never actually played it, along with I think the rest of the games mentioned so far I have played a number of amazing arcade games from yesterday year thanks to MAME. Elevator Action 1 + 2, Ladybug, 1944 spring to mind.

Play the original and best version through WinUAE.
Back to the game thread......
Paradroid
The thing I remember most about Cannon Fodder is the reggae theme tune!

Strange that you post this atm. I read an article yesterday by a mr jon hare. The bloke behind Cannon fodder and so many of the old amiga games that I loved. He was talking about his magnus opus Sex n drugs n rock n roll. The game that promised so much and ultimately never saw the light of day.

I remember the fuss cannon fodder caused at the time. hard to believe that back then a war game caused so much trouble when you think of the games we have had since.
Whilst we talk about old games How about Manic miner Loved that game and founda remake a few years ago with updated graphics that worked under windows. The game was still as good as ever.
Aw man, I'd forgotten completely about the awesomeness of Paradroid. Slightly more geeky but does anyone remember an RPG called Lords Of Midnight? I used to frickin' love that game, but she had commitment issues. I wonder what she's doing now? I considered looking her up on Facebook, but I'm worried she might have aged badly. Plus I'd have to register an account, so screw that.
