Look what an essex girl did to my car

Happened yesterday. Some stupid girl who was in a rush crashed into me while i was approaching a bloody round about. Great stuff. Woman was clueless.

Stupid cow said she couldn't see my break lights. yea right. nothing wrong with my break lights and YOUR SUPPOSE TO SLOW down when approaching a bloody roundabout!!

My bumper is ****ed as you can see plus the boot cant close properly too. the car is still drivable though.

I posted this in the photo a day thread but felt its more appropriate to have on its own thread instead of going out of topic in the other thread.

Make sure you look after your neck in the next few days - lots of people don't have head restraints at the proper hieght and even if you do you can still get quite a bit of whiplash.

Of course she'll try not to admit liability, but the brake light arguement won't wash with the insurers unless you were braking suddenly and unexpectedly (ie not approaching a junction/roundabout!), and even then they'd probably still get done for not leaving braking distance.

well she admited to me that its her fault during the scene and hope she says the same when my insurer calls her up plus i have a genuine witness as well who will back me up.

my wife was talking to him during the scene and the witness said how he was once involved in a car crash and no1 went forward has a witness and so it was difficult for him to prove it wasn't his fault so he knows how it feels and was quick to hand in his details etc to us. great lad and if all goes well i will give him a call some time and thank him.

It happens. I had someone read-end me at a roundabout at the end of March:



It's frustrating, it takes time, but as long as your insurers are on your side (which is rather helped if the other side admits liability, and is insured) then it's all fixed in the end. Issues start appearing if they deny it or are uninsured.

The woman sounded as if she just started driving as she didn't have a clue on details about her insurance that day.

Girl i knew wrote of her car by rear ending someone at a roundabout coming too fast down a motorway slip road (claimed it was because of the gradient of the sliproad).

Luckily for her Daddy bought her a new car.

The thing about the roundabout issue is that it is a small roundabout situated at the edge of a blooming car park!

Its a typical roundabout accident, doesn't matter where they are, how experienced the driver is, it can happen to anyone. Living in MK the land of roundabouts this sort of thing happens all the time. I even did it on my driving test, car in front decided not to go, when i thought he had, oops, lucky for me no damage was done, but i failed my test!

It doesn't look like much damage, so i wouldn't worry too much about it, get it repaired then let the insurance companies sort it out.

update: i have arranged them to pick up my car to get sent here http://www.ryestreetgroup.co.uk/index.asp?id=78&query=6 and i also asked what the current status is of my claim and said all is well and that the woman has admitted that she was at fault.

Does this effect my no claim bonus? am i still on a clean slate on my record? im worried that now i have a record of this, if ever i renew or get another car insurance, i would have to pay ridiculous amounts because of this?

Whats going to happen to her? is she going to pay for my repair with her own money? will she get points put on her licence?
