I will be kept away from my Rolex for 3-weeks as I will be giving it for service in Singapore. Think I might buy that PRC200 @ Changi (or in town), as I really like the look of it. Jim, could you be extremely kind enough to share more photos of that gorgeous piece Thanks!

*Oh just hit me, People's Republic of China 200?

edit: shame, just saw that its quartz...

Re: Hey bsodmikle. How's life in watch land?

Those Tissots do look swish I must admit.

Unfortuantley I do not have the brands to match those, I've always wanted an expensive watch but never had the cash. I usually wear 5 euro specials I get on holiday, but my treasured posession was one bought for me by my mum back when I was 17.

It's a Kentic too, Seiko and tbh I really love it, partly for the sentimental value but I do think it's a great watch too. My Dad has a Seiko too that must be near it's 40th birthday by now, and still going strong. Hopefully it'll last me a good few years yet, just not 100% sure how long the battery will last

There's no battery in that watch as it's a 7s26 automatic movement, definitely definitely not a kinetic.

Seiko's 7s26-based watches should easily outlast even their current kinetic range. Expect 10 - 20 years easily before the first service, decades longer with care

Hitman, I really like how well 'worn' your watch is; you can tell it has seen its share.

It might be hard to understand but as of late I've only been sporting one watch, and one watch only ~ my DateJust. The rest of them are collecting dust in the bank vault, as I too would like to be able to look back someday and go "this has been with me through thick and thin"

As for lasting though, you might want to get them seen by a watchmaker at some point simply to re-oil the movement. After sometime, even these ultra engineered oils do dry up and invariably cause deviation in the watches performance (beats/hour and therefore ± seconds/day) and undue wear and tear on the gear train, balance etc.

Yes mate from Ernest Jones Cardiff. It has the deployment clasp - at first I hated the actual clasp itself it seemed waaaay more fiddly to use than my seiko clasp. Now I have got used to it - It's doing the job but it's over-fiddly. I am still thinking about getting a better clasp for it though, one like mike posted a page or two back.

As Mike said - clasps are so much better!

    Why do you ask?

I like the look of it and I was wondering where I could see one irl. It does look very nice.

My current watch has a bracelet but its more for casual wear really (Citizen Calibre 9000), so I would like my next watch to have a strap. A deployment clasp is a must though.

If you go to http://www.tissot.ch - go to the Stores menu and you can drill down to find the tissot dealers near you.
