    This thread reminded me of my fondness for watches... and encouraged me to make a watch purchase

    I came across a nice looking Fossil Automatic Rotar Grey Dial for $105, while I was over in L.A. at TechEd 2009. I think it's only a hybrid automatic, but still it's a lovely chunky watch. The rotary winder is visible through the watch face.

    My other watches are a Seiko Kinetic for everyday wear, and an Oris Classic Date - like this one, but it has a date arm around the face rather than a window

    Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I thought i'd update this again. After much saving and for the right price to come along I've now purchased an Ebel 1911 BTR Chronograph, just got to wait for it to turn up now. Got it from Goldsmiths Outlet store with nearly 50% off so a bit of bargain really... relatively speaking.
