GameOn magazine does game reviews/previews, some articles, and a couple of random things too.

Lol, if I could help in getting a venue and dates when people can help - I would. As it is, I'll keep to the writing for now

    Re: Gaming Magazines

Not in years. I stopped buying them even pre-broadband because I was tired of carrying luggage full of magazines everytime I moved (since I didn't want to throw them away). That dealt with the habit.

And now, I have no incentive of going back even if I do find a place to stay on a permanent basis simply the web has more information than I have time to go through.

One thing I don't see often, if ever, with UK magazines, are full (but old) games bundled with the magazine. I have seen older applications bundled with PC magazines, but never games. One of the reason I used to buy French gaming magazines was for the games they were bundled with (legally).

Haven't bought PC Gamer/PC Format for years, I bought a custom PC about three years ago and thought it was full of willy waving.

I'll buy Linux format every couple of months or so though.

PC ones are different because sometimes there are articles which are interesting to read on how to do stuff. But again I don't really invest in those either.
Nope, not for the past few years!!! Instead I just go into WHSmiths and have a flick through a preview/review i like. Either that or check IGN for game previews/reviews. The pc games mags used to ahve some good demo's........................not any more!

    Re: Gaming Magazines

I only buy the uber hyped games that go on to get favourable feedback in the Hexus Gaming forum - the only thing gaming mags are useful for me is when a headline catches my eye from the newsracks, and I'll then go and look up the details online.

EDGE is the only gaming mag that i buy, used to buy loads before the internet became the font of all knowledge. But the EDGE reviews are the only ones i read (there not afraid to say its crap, or give a lower score than everyone else) unless i'm after some alternative comments.
