    Re: Oops

Ouch, I think my worst injury from a PC was when taking apart a very old Compaq machine that had the molex connecters glued in! Pulling at it as hard as I can, and when it finally lets go my hand goes flying across the case into the corner of the PSU
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

    Re: Oops

I hate working on older machines as I nearly always end up dripping blood.

I seem to have a thing with hammers at the moment too. I think I got my thumb half a dozen times last weekend. Good job the kids weren't in or they'd have heard some very interesting language!

    Re: Oops

I always seem to end up giving a blood offering to the PC gods as well. But then, I've also managed to cut myself on the rounded plastic edges of a first aid kit. Oh, the irony.

Maybe by the amount of blood you've offered up for this one then the PC will be correspondingly more powerful??

I got 2 scars on my right index finger from 1 simple case.

I was removing the 5.25" blanking plate they always seem to leave in place. I spent 2 minutes twisting it slowly and nicely so the bits on the side gave way so it could be removed.

As I was removing it, I caught the small shard that was left on the side and sliced through my knuckle on my finger. Due to the pain I pushed forwards and then sliced my main knuckle.

I could see the tendon in my finger and now I have a weird shaped scar where it is

My first thought when I did this last night was "oooh thats deep", then it was "oh, why's it not bleeding yet?....... there is goes!".

Got a large flexible plaster on it and had to lie down in case I threw up :/

If you can find a 'wet' plaster i find they are much better at joining sharpe knife cuts together without scaring.

Yeah, that and just about every other vaccination you can think of

I thought I had a bottle of the paint on stuff, but it turns out I don't going to get some tonight though as it could be useful for the future.

Ah, but paper is naturally dangerous

I just can't understand how I cut myself on a round edge. Plus there's the factor of being injured by something that's supposed to help patch up injuries.

    1-handed typing is sooooooo 1980's

voice dictation and voice navigation is where the 21st Century should be heading.
