yar get up and move do stretches etc, you really really dont want a proper bad back its really not nice, Ive been doing stupid lifting for the last 20 years at work , but the last five years maybe more it will lock up, I end up stooping over with the muscles in spasm , docs say nowt can be done , and you feel such a twit walking along the road like an old man but your not an old man. Its not just lifting that sets it off now , getting wet or damp , sets it off too , what Im trying to say is act now before its too late.
When my back 'goes' boy it is bad. can hardly walk! i usually stuff Ibuprofen down my neck.
I used to get lower back pain a lot. I bought a pair of rollerblades. A great way to flatten your stomach and give you a six-pack , so it turned out. It sorted out my back pain. I guess because it strengthens your core muscles. Thing was, skating on tarmac really started to bugger up my knees so I stopped. But I still have a flat stomach and good core muscles. And although I stopped ages ago my back pain has not returned. They say no ammount of exersice is going to fix your posture when you sit in front of a PC all day. Probably best to get other interests that get you up on your feet. Or at least stop sitting in front of your PC all day. OOhhhh, I feel such a hippacryte saying that
I've suffered with a bad back since giving birth 15 years ago....My Doctor reckoned it was because of the epidural I had, another Doctor reckoned it was because my pelvic ligaments had been misaligned during birth, tried physio and it never worked so I still suffer lol
Did a manual handling course earlier in the year and the tutor reckoned that while you sleep your back goes back to it's natural position, but stretching when you first get out of bed ruins it again so back to square one.
I wish I could stay in bed most days lol but sadly that doesn't pay the bills.
I tend to get a lot of lower back pain, right at the base of my spine when I'm feeling very stressed out. Pain lasts a few days and then goes away, usually get it around christmas time at work when its most stressful
Duvet tester.
I have the same issue at work but out Ergonomics team had a look at my chair and have adjusted it and now it happens less.
The best thing is to get up and walk around for 10 mins. or maybe get a cup of coffee every hour.
