    Britian's Got Talent

Yes I watched it. I was bored.

I have to say I am glad Diversity won it. They were superb. Loved the whole transformers bit. I didn't see Flawless dance, but their semi final was really entertaining.

I would have liked the saxophonist to have won. Mainly because that show is really dominated by dancers and singers. You have to do something extra special with your talent to stand out. He just has incredible talent, and I am sure someone *cough* Simon Cowel *cough* will snap him up for a contract and release some CD's or something.

    Re: Britian's Got Talent

I watched it too and was glad when Diversity won so I don't know why it all feels a bit of an anti-climax now. Y'know, the best thing that could have happened was for Stavros Flatley to have won. The act is ridiculous but makes me smile. I'm sure HRH would have enjoyed it. Maybe it's the sheer cheek of those guys .

Julian the saxophonist was great but Kenny G did all that years ago. Roll on X Factor I say

    Re: Britian's Got Talent

diversity were pretty good, though compared to the stuff i saw on mtv in europe on 'america's next biggest dance drew' or something like that, they weren't as good imo.

As for the saxaphone guy, one of the girls that i was with last night when we were watching it was playing that for her grade 8 saxaphone. Not to try and make him seem like a bad saxophonist, but seeing as it's for the whole of britain, someone that's playing a grade 8 piece doesn't really seem that 'special'

    Re: Britian's Got Talent

I was going to say, he's a good saxophonist, but there are a lot more talented musicians in the country than get portrayed on Britain's Got Talent. I know some people who are very good singers (i.e. grade 8+), pianists (my uncle used to work for ABRSM and is a very very good pianist) and lots more.

It would have been nice to see an instrument beat voice for a change, but end of the day he's good but nothing particularly special.

I'm actually surprised there weren't any more instrumental people playing..

These two should have entered: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADd4w...eature=related, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Apdqa...e=channel_page

    Re: Britian's Got Talent

I looked up this saxophonist, and was really disappointed. I've been using an almost identical arrangement of Somewhere as a basic trombone study recently, and it's a very easy piece to play. And why did he keep bobbing up and down?

I just had a look at the great (winners) on YouTube. Now can anyone point me towards the ones that are comically poor?

    Re: Britian's Got Talent

I still don't understand why there's an audience for this stuff. How are people so desperate that they need to sit down and follow more of the same, over edited, manufactured drivel? No wonder ITV are struggling for cash. Yet this programme even makes the news? What the hell's in that that's so important it trumps other more newsworthy reporting?

Sorry if that offends any fans of this stuff, I honestly can't see the appeal.
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good

18.5 million people watched the final - the most since the Euro 2004 England vs Portugal match whichgot 20.66 million viewers. How can almost a third of the population of the country put themselves through such rubbish...

    Re: Britian's Got Talent

I've only seen bits and pieces of the show, but the people that have talent are entertaining, and worth watching. I was impressed by the inventiveness and touches of humour of the winning act.

The parts where eccentric people with dubious talent who don't know better are put up to be taken the mick out of I could do without - it's all a bit car crash and nasty.

I've only watched a couple of clips on YouTube, and find them more entertaining then the average footie match

Well, I tend to like to see the extremes. The exceptional are enoyable to watch for the same reason why anyone would watch any sort of performance, be it concert, street performance etc.

And the really terrible are.. occasionally so unbelievable they can almost be seen as a comedic skits.
