On the page, it states 'UPDATE: A doctor and dermatologist stated that the needles were pinned 2cm/1inch DEEP instead of 0,3cm/0,15 inch, in her forehead, and she lost conscience because of that'. If that's really the case, it might explain why the tattooist has decided to settle.

A long time ago since I got mine done. And the needle on tattoo gun thingy was a matter of MM not cm. What the fluff?

Is it 2cm or 1inch? they are not the same thing.

A needle that long, if it was strong enough, would go through her skull.

I still say there is a lot of fud surrounding this story

I'm guessing the skin thickness on the forehead is abt 5-6mm, plus I don't think a tattoo gun has that much of a stroke in it. They're normally pre-set but the tattooist so they just hook on a new needle & fit the tube.

The 0.54cm probably doesn't matter. As you've subsequently said, such length would go through the skull if the needle was strong enough either way. Since there's are hole on her forehead, and assuming that report is correct, the needle was not strong enough to punch through, but generated some shock.

Having been tattoo's over bony areas, like my collarbone, I wouldn't say there was anywhere near enough force to knock you out, even if the stroke of the gun was wrong & the speed was dialled to the max. There is so much BS flying around in this story it's hard to believe either party.

An inch would have been enough to penetrate the 7mm of bone in her forehead and lodge the needle into brain tissue given neccasary force which to be honest I'm pretty sure a tattoo gun doesn't have, this doesn't sound right to me.
