Well I'm off to watch a few bands in the pub tonight, thank god its big and "airy" with a big garden and Ice Cold Beer

Ironically I went inside this week after doing some work outside to find it was cooler inside the bakery

Still it isn't as hot as the controlled atmosphere rooms I used to have to work in for Lipton... one was 50°C and 100% humidity thank the lord we were allowed to wear shorts in there and had a chiller full of Liptonice next round the corner

We had a school trip to London from Wednesday. From the coast of Northumberland. Talk about bad timing... not just a touch warmer as it normally is, but stupidly hot.

By yesterday I had acclimatised somewhat (that can't happen in the UK too often...), but prior to that... it must have been 45c+ in the bus after we'd been to the zoo. Completely unbearable. Wasn't much fun in the theatres either, but at least there was a show to distract you.

I'm going Glade festival in a couple of weeks. I can't decide what I would prefer, humid heat, mild heat, or a cool day maybe all 3! as long as theres no rain

Accelerated stress testing on drinks. Basically if something will flocculate (have solids drop out of solution and form large flakes) at "normal" temperatures they will do it a lot faster under more extreme conditions. Its not an exact scientific test but a reasonable indicator. The high humidity was there to determine the effect on tetrapacks, to see how they stood up... or not in some cases
