It's true, but if I get swine flu now there's at least a chance I'd have the antibodies floating around my system in time for the OH NOES WEREALLGUNNADIE variant that hits in late November. If I don't get it at all then there's somewhat less of a chance.
My point being that I feel things are being somewhat overblown. Thousands die from common or garden 'flu every year. The fact that out of the hundreds of thousands (millions?) who have picked it up worldwide a few have died doesn't make this the Bubonic Plague.
