Gonzo - I think everyone above has summed up what ran through my head as I read your post, however my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Spend some time with your Dad, let yourself grieve as well as him, and we'll be here when you're ready.

Sorry to hear that, but well done on making a choice and letting her go with her dignity intact.

GoNz0 - very sorry to hear about your mum. My thoughts are with you and your family. No point holding it in - scream, shout, cry or do whatever you have to do. It will come out in the end anyway. All you can do is remember the good times, that you did the right thing and be there for your dad as I'm sure he'll be there for you.

Re: the hardest thing i have ever had to do

thanks for all the kind words, and thanks for all the PM's with emails and mobile numbers incase i want a chat

today the coroner will be calling to explain why this life changing event took place and i may get some closure or this may be the start of a legal battle to make the bastards admit they got it so very wrong taking her back to surgery because they couldn't do there job properly.

If your walking down the high street today and see someone standing with a cancer research tin, dig deep and find some shrapnel in the hope they may help you or a loved one avoid this one day.

Re: the hardest thing i have ever had to do

I would like to point out all moble phone companies have a recycling scheme for old handsets, why not go into a shop at get your free bag. We all have an unused handset somewhere. When you send it off you can nominate a charity to get any proceeds, this is a great way to give at no cost to you. Perhaps today you could consider "Cancer Research UK", or another cancer charity who would welcome your support.

Re: the hardest thing i have ever had to do

I feel like I am only echo'ing what others have said.

I am so sorry for you and your families lose.

Try and take care of yourself, and your Dad, and take some time to yourselves.
