pyro; dolphins the best free divers in the world...? I'd agree they are one of the most graceful and benevolent creatures in the ocean but in terms of depths reached I believe the sperm whale carries the gong on that one. evidence suggests the most ridiculous depths around 1000m, possibly further. thats 1 kilometer down...think of the huge pressure on the whale that does that! and holding their breath the whole time is staggering, they manage this by shutting off various parts of their circulatory system leaving only vital systems in supply...for example dolphins may drop heart rate from 100-90 down to around 20. quite astonishing diving mammals, I'm fascinated by deep diving animals.

cool! u really need to take a pic of that, sounds good.... does the angel fish not get agressive towards the smaller fish?

I got a Moby Dick all in one tank, which has the heater, filter/pump & light all built into the hood.

The Angel is a bit agressive yes
Its grown loads since we bought it, it eats like you wouldnt believe and has tried to nibble all of the other fish in the tank, including the shark and the rainbow both of which are bigger than the Angel....

I'll nab mum or dads digicam 2nite n get some shots....

Angel fish like most tropical fish are best kept in groups of there own kind, I have 3 of them in my 180L and apart from the odd nip at each other they never once have bothered any of the other fish. If anything you want to watch other fish nipping them such as barbs as they love to nipp there long fins!

Trig - I hope you dont mind if I point out to you that you are very heavily overstocked once you take into accoutn the adult size of the fish you own, I dont mean any offence by it. The common plec as im sure you know will grow huge! and the clowns although very slow growing will have no problems reaching around 8" in the right environment. As I already mentioned angels are best kept in groups and idealy require an environment of around 70L per fish!

The plecs about 2.5" long at the mo, and yes, I've seen one that was so big my g/f of the time didnt see it as it was sooo big compaired to the plec we had at the time...

The Danio is fully grown but about dead anyways, the 3 guppies probably wont last much longer, the 2 Clowns havent grown since I've had them and are about 3", sharks about 6", khuli's are about 4" and the angelfish is probably about 3" tall...

And no I'm not taking offence, the tank was a starter tank about 2 years ago but where it sits in the house is the perfect size for a tank 6foot long by about 4 foot deep and about 3foot wide, gonna cost me ~£200 for the tank to be built and all the heating/lighting, its on the cards but I've just bought a new car so things are on hold at the mo

Sounds like you have plans, wish I had space for a tank that size, I can barely fit my current tank in my room and even thats a very tight squeeze!

    Anyway

Cheese and Pickle are now considerably happier with the introduction of a nice new gravel filter.
