    Cool!

Well here are a couple of pictures of my tank - its taken me 2 hrs to do a complete water change and clean out today, but it looks spanking now!!
Mine too is a mixed community tropical tank, I mostly have Tiger Barbs, Black/White widows, various tetra and 'Spike' my Pleco!

Thems be my happy 'icle fisssssses!!

Edited by Deckard : You should be able to see some pictures now... though I'd rather cook 'em!

Doh! Im still new at this posting malarky!
Think I need to phone an expert.....

Yeh I did a complete change, my tank was disgusting because I had been overfeeding and the tank is in the sun first thing in the morning.
All fixed now... Ive never had a problem when changing the water completely, only do it a couple of times a year. The fish are used to it!!

good god, 20meters was hard for me, they did a k? ok fare enough then, i guess they are not, but if you think of the size of the wale and compare it to a dolphin then maybe the numbers turn to be pretty much the same? anyway, i didnt know that they could go that deep...amazing, thats around 1000bar

Not that Ive noticed, they tend to have a dig at each other more than anything. The only one looking a bit ropey at the moment is the Guppy... oh and the Plec isn't too happy coz I washed all his food away!! Never mind he'll just have to look a bit harder for it!

Ps. Deck - hardly a meal in my tank!! The salmon in my freezer is much more appetising!

    Hey Honoop,

I might be being pedantic, or paranoid , or whatever the appropriate term is, BUT, it might no be the best idea in the world to have that air freshener parked outside the front of your aquarium.

I don't know the potency of that brand of freshener but if it makes the room smell nice, it probably shouldn't be right there next to the tank. I say this for the same reason you shouldn't spray polish on or near your tank, or other such products because they contaminate the air. I've heard this advice from numerous decent sources.

Long story, short - you might be poisoning your fishies!

As I said, I might be worrying a bit much, but I had to at least mention it.

hey Honoop, nice tank although my only comment is that I thought barbs like places to hide, particularly plants, so you may think about investing in a couple more plastic plants and putting them close together with the one you have at the mo!

Just a thought, besides that the fish do look happy

Thanks - I didnt actually know that, so will go and 'per-chase' some more plastic plants to keep them happy.

I inherited my tank you see and dont think Im doing too badly for a girl who doesnt know much about fish!!

Here are two books that I can recommend:

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...673916-0943940

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books

I own the second and have used the first often.

I'd also give you a warning, Fish keeping can be highly addictive and soon you may find that tank of yours is 4 feet long 2 deep and 1.5 wide with more gear than your PC!!
