My gf bought me a t-shirt (stars removed) that says "Do I look like a F***ing people person?".

Feel sorry for the staff in a way, the training that they receive must be so minimal..
I remember a few years back when I urgently needed a floppy drive (just a cheap internal one for XP SATA drivers) - the cheapest one they had that day was an "Iomega USB External drive" - ~£50...
I wanted to buy a freeview box and was looking at all of the options in comet, a sales droid came over and asked me if he could help, "I replied can you...? Ok of these boxes which ones of them output the digital signal (decode) via the coax as well as a scart", the reply was ... "oh they all do.", so I got one I liked the look off and left. Got it home you know what ... it didn't just an analogue loop through. So I check all the boxes they had online (what i should have do in the first place) and none they had did. So I found one that did a Humax and bought it at John Lewis and took the one back to comic (sorry comet). I only had one question, a simple one and they blew it.
Housemate brought me back a T-Shirt from Bulgaria with a picture of an AK-47 on the front and all its technical details listed... which I'm quite happy with Of course the caption should read...
"The AK-47, for when you want to point... shoot... and have no clue what you're going to hit"
If Wisdom is the coordination of "knowledge and experience" and its deliberate use to improve well being then how come "Ignorance is bliss"
Not around too often!
If I need cheering up I go to PC World. I laugh at the prices, I laugh at the staff, I also laugh at the fact they try and sell me some rubbish brand laptop at some ridiculous price!
PC World had a nice 40" samsung on offer over the Bank Holiday Monday
Don't ask... I got lumbered with being dragged round copious carpet and bed places all day so I wandered into PC World for a quick escape from the rain and had a nosey around.

I'd disagree. If you want something in a hurry, say on a Sunday afternoon, PC World can be useful. As long as you know what you're looking for and don't expect useful advice from the salesmen it's fine.
If any of my friends or family want a computer I always take them there rather than finding an online deal for them. Just the fact that if it goes wrong you can take it in and tell them to fix it rather than having to faff about with RMA numbers and ninja couriers is worth the extra few quid, and it means that I'm not lumbered with technical support whereas I would be if I'd built it for them.
"Free speech includes not only the inoffensive but the irritating, the contentious, the eccentric, the heretical, the unwelcome and the provocative provided it does not tend to provoke violence. Freedom only to speak inoffensively is not worth having."
Yep that's happened to me but it was Royal Mail - they posted a card with my door number on it through the neighbour's door which has a different number on it, obviously?? It said 'you were out' but I was in - waiting for it then the neighbour knocked round with the card. I don't understand that.
