I think there's already been a lot more than we often get.
I blame global warming.... oh wait....
why isn't hexus snowing yet?
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
That would be "climate change" then... don't get me started
Manchester is being its usual self - heavy snow from 9.30 until 1ish - now no snow and bright blazing sunshine. I anticipate the snow starting again in about 5 second...
Nope, I was wrong. It's sleety drizzle, rather than proper snow *sigh*
EDIT and three minutes later we get genuine hail. Anyone know of any decent web progamming jobs somewhere other than Manchester?
So much for me not having to trek to the office
I managed to get here in just under 2 hours, and the amount of abandoned cars on the way is unbelievable! In a way I am glad I wasnt stuck on the main route out of Basingstoke last night.
This is what I woke up to this morning. (The only thing I had on me to show the depth of said snow!)
And this is what happens when you are forced to go to work and should have stayed at home. Bloody curbs!
1x Pikey fix later and it should hopefully hold it and stop it from getting any worse.
isn't that how the nissan is held together though!
Maybe , although it looks much better and is much stronger! (It's still v cold out there so knelt on the floor trying to fix the ford whilst my hands froze meant it was just a bodge job until I am home )
This is how it should look
(Excuse the pics copied from Driftworks!)
I am likely to be stuck in Paris over Christmas because of this. I was supposed to be on the eurostar on Thursday, with my wife and daughter, but I can't see it really. Even if we can get on, and the train leaves, I bet we will miss the connection at Kings Cross.
So it sounds like a miserable Christmas with just me and my immediate family and whatever mean pickings we can glean from Lafayette Gourmet, in our Haussmannian apartment in the centre of Paris, with the roaring fire and central heating and Sky TV.
I was so looking forward to staying in my sister's draughty house in the countryside near Newark, Notts., with her miserable snofabitch husband refusing to turn up the heating, or allow anyone to change channels on his crappy TV, having badly-cooked turkey with too few roast spuds and having to drink crappy wine because they already spent the joint kitty for booze. Oh well; some you win.
(Thanks Evilmunky)
Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet intakes.
Yeah, sucks to be Brucelles
So is the odd of a white Christmas pretty high in the UK this year?
I bet it doesn't snow on Christmas day. I don't think they predicted the UK blizzard yesterday either. Obviously the gov were crap and no grit on those roads yet again...
