    Blimey Shiato Storm.

That's a rocking post you wrote there, thats the kind of feedback I feel Lynni was looking for at the start.

And before there are any more "women hating posts/bitching" on here, we need them for the balance. Too much testosterone isn't good for anyone

I dont really notice mine anymore as im stressed all the time and pretty miserable with what im doing at the moment

Usually though it makes everything seem so much worse than it actually is. The funny thing is though, is that you never realise it until a week after and you're jolly again.

I just tend to sit it out, or search for a hug from someone, dont caree who, it's usually one of my mates or my mum if she's willing. Might have a bit of a cry, but other than that, there's not much else you can do except try to keep ur mind busy

yeah, hot water bottle at the base of the back helps.as does massage - anything like that.
also try a little light exercise as this promotes a bit of metabolic speed up...healthy mind, healthy body and all that, though scientifically it has been shown that ,particularly athletes, those that regularly exercise suffer 'these sort of things' much less than their sedentary counterparts.
try to stay away from chocolate and excessive amounts of cafeen...have some but too much makes it bad.
eat lots of fruit/veg - boring but necessary
and although some drugs help don;t go crazy with them as they prolong the situation through their actions around the body - which I take it you don't want. and from experience when the g/f takes loads she's just a zombie which isn't always great fun tbh. no, i love her to death but she just goes all, well, you know -
    anyway
drink lots of water to - i know all the 'water retention' stuff but drink water and it'll be better...honest.

...and enjoy using madness as a valid medical excuse to what you're going through!

oh and be NICE to your fella, cause its not his fault and he probably doens't understand why you're getting at him anyway, so be nice to him...

Easier said than done when it's 'choccy craving' time of the month.

I think some of you are mixing up symptoms of PMT with symptoms of actual periods...

The pain and discomfort and drug taking comes after the period has started. It's just mood swings and depression etc that comes before.

There are ways of reducing water retention by drinking dandilion tea (if you like the taste of grass...) Chocolate, it's good. dont EVER try to stop a menstruating woman from eating chocolate, you arent doing yourself any favours. When u're on the blob, no scientist or biologist or doctor will ever be able to tell you what's right or wrong for your body, so give up

I've heard massage can help, so maybe that's a nice excuse to splurge some money and get pampered!

Elmo's right, PMT and Period Paid are completely different things.... At least you can control the pain to an extent, but the PMT bit can be a nightmare! It does vary month to month, sometimes its fine, but other times... watch out!!!!
It's impossible sometimes to "be nice to your fella", you can TRY, but PMT just kinda takes over!!! It must be really difficult for a bloke to understand, because it's really difficult to explain, and half the frustration when you have that "PMT" feeling is that you KNOW its just PMT and you KNOW that you are being irrational, but can't, however hard you try, do anything about it.
A hug, if available, is the best cure

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.
