Legal advice? Yup. Find a good lawyer. Sorry, but taking advice on a serious matter from unknown people on the internet isn't a good idea. Now if you want opinions .....

And to be honest, even for opinions, I'd think a fair bit more detail is needed. For a start, you don't even say if you're salaried or contract and, if contract, what the nature of the contract is.

Re: Our time has come to an end

    Im a perm staff.

i have been here for 2.5 years and this company is a pink fluffy kitten of a joke. they keep changing requirements and ideas soo much that i have actually developed this product at least 5 times over!

They cant sell it because it is a "average imo" product asking for soo much money for it. We has devs have expressed our opinions to our line managers but it has all fallen in death ears.

We have ALWAYS delivered the goals set by the line managers and this is how they treat us? They are not paying "everyone" including HR, designers and line managers. this has come straight from the owner of this company.

edit: and all this happened today, the day before we get paid for august!

Re: Our time has come to an end

Turn up. Work your 9-5 or whatever contract deems. Go home. Repeat.

If they miss a salary payment, try to resolve amicably, otherwise see your lawyer.

Re: Our time has come to an end

    Normal process :-

    - talk to them, try to resolve problem - perhaps point out unauthorised deductions from pay are illegal, so ask for what reason they are withholding pay

    - if that doesn't work, put it in writing. If you;'re a union member, talk to to them.

    - if they still won't pay, consider industrial tribunal

If they aren't paying everyone, then I'd indeed suspect that they have financial problems. That could be cash flow, or it could be much more serious .... though even cash flow can be a company-killer.

Long term strategy? If it were me, I'd be looking to get out, but don't do anything impetuous. For many/most people, right now, jobs are dangling in front of us like low hanging fruit. They can be quite tricky to come by. So bite your tongue and make arrangements before losing your temper with them.

If they are, payroll commitments is a high priority for a receiver ... but losing your job is still losing your job, of course.

Four replies from two different mods and no comment on the swear filter kicking in for two separate posts from one person?

Not all comments by mods are public.

Also, context is considered. It's a judgement thing.

Re: Our time has come to an end

Its a small company. maybe 30-40 employees? Most of us are in a perm role getting paid once a month.

Company has always been on time with payments and No, there is no money in the company bank now according to HR. thats what started it. Guy from HR asked about this months salary yesterday and our boss said no you lot aint getting a penny.

We are contracted to be payed every 25th day of the month so like some of you said its best to wait and see what happens tomorrow.

This is terrible. All of us here at work have no motivation and faith in this company at all.

We are all going to have a 3rd meeting soon, this time with the man himself.
