Nope, North East hasn't seen temps above 1*C for over a week now, and it's been below -10*c some mornings

    Last Friday was pretty bad....

Yep, but we have had snow the past 2 weeks and even if it doesn't snow during the day the stuff that is there sure isn't going anywhere as it's so cold

Got about 2 feet of the stuff in places and driving round the residential areas where I live there is a good inch or 2 of ice between me and the road

Our old snow had all turned into ice so it was very slippy on pavements already

Well I am awake due to faulty alarms on my new build estate being faulty and making weird bird sounds at -5 degrees. Right now it sounds like the Australian rain forest is outside.

    Really fecking annoying.

Yep, B5 (facelift) A4 1.8T Sport (petrol obviously), had to pretty much clear the engine but it did start (was a little reluctant but started first time)

Funny thing is the frost symbol seems to disappear around -5 so it has to warm up before it can tell me it's cold!

It's ok, about average for my commute to/from work, slightly better than my Honda Accord

    Where abouts?

I'm in Gateshead atm and it's pretty icy with the snow having frozen but there isn't much snow

In Northumberland it's a different story with most of the original snowstill there

Why do Audi's have problems starting in the cold? thought all modern engines were able to start at low temps, my petrol Rover 45 had no problems starting at the same temps.
Funny thing is my neighbors 1.5 year old diesel BMW 3 series simply wouldn't start (tried to help him for about 15 mins while my 8 year old car heated up nicely )
