I'm in a bit of a bad mood on a Saturday morning because I'm sure someone is palying a very cruel trick on me !
Anyway it's all to do with the fact that some people who I thought were friends of mine decided they want to match me up with someone they know. Sounding good so far. However who they want to match me up with is my friends sister in law (he's married)
Now this in itself seems pretty innocent, until you examine the circumstances. The lady in question has just gotten out of an abusive relationship with her ex partner, and has lost the custody battle of their 7 year old son to her ex. I also found out she has 5 kids ! Which by the way none of the 5 kids lives with her.
You can imagine whats going through my head at this point. Anyway one day last week I stupidly agreed to go over to their house and meet them (well my friend, his wife and the sister in law) Last weekend I clean forgot as I had other things on my mind, visiting grandad and getting some small issues sorted on my new car.
Had a message on facebook from my friends asking where I was on the Friday, told them what had happened and I was met with the response "Oh we'll let you off this once" I was like ok, but thats the truth.
Any we re-arranged for last night over text message, and this where the problem lies. I knew roughly where they lived (and this is a horror all in itself, and I'll explain later !) They did give me their address and I said I'd give them a call to confirm I was outside.
So I get to where I think they live and call, and the only contact number for them I have no longer works when it did earlier in the week. So I try my spare phone I keep in the car for emergencies incase its that, and nope its not that either, it turns out to be that thier number has been cut off.
I get out the car after parking it safely and thinkg hmmm I really don't want to be hanging round here for too long as over the road there were some hood 'yoofs' casing me up and down and taking a liking to my alloy wheels, I'd have loved to have seen them try and take them off !
So I take a wonder into the clu-de-sac that they said they lived in looking for their house. Annoyingly none of the houses had any numbers on the door that I could see, and I sure as anything wasn't going to go knocking on all the doors to find out which one they lived in !
As I was walking up and down the road looking , and feeling like I was about as welcome as a pork chop at a Jewish Festival someone comes out of their house and basically tells me to get stuffed. I tried to explain why I was there but was told if I didn't do something that rhymed with truck they'd call the police. So I returned to my car somewhat scratching my head, only to discover the hood 'yoofs' had congregated round my car looking at it.
For some reason they all hung round the doors and as I went to unlcok it they said "Give us a ride" to which I just ignored, unlocked the car, which thankfully on the first press of the remote only unlocks the drivers door and then promptly locked the car again once I was inside it !
As they were all now hanging round the front on all manner of bikes and scooters, the only option I had was to stick the car in reverse so as not to knock them down. The silly lot tried to follow me, but managed to get out of the rabbit warren of a housing estate without any damage to my car or them.
When I finally do get home theres a message waiting for me stating that their phone has been cut off (wow how long did it take them to work that out?) and to let them know if I want to arrange another meeting.
The answer to that is not likely. They really have burnt all their bridges now. Sorry for the long post, it's just had me wound up all night. Have had this over whelming urge to slap someone in the face with a shovel now grrrrr !
