I do a number of different things.

Listen to music (different music depending on mood, if i'm stressed then something like Less Than Jake to cheer me up)

Read a decent fantasy book, basically just pure escapism (which i guess is what all of this is about really)

Watch a dvd, again depending on mood. But quite often something like Friends.

OK, thats a bit extreme, but think about the times that most of the conflicts occur, (over dinner perhaps?) and be somewhere else at that time (eat out!).

Setup your room as your personal refuge, with everything you need (beer!) so that you don't have to interact with anyone if you don't want to.

Also, have a plan for the future. Plan a week off or a holiday in a couple of months time and treat yourself. Having something to look forward to always makes things easier to cope with.

Most important, have somewhere you can get away to, preferably far removed from the rest of your life.
We cant afford a holiday this year and dont have the time to go away properly.... so instead we have organised loads of little weekends away during the summer. I can go to the isle of man anytime i want to for the weekend, unfortunately im not able to get over there for various reasons until the end of the month possibly the beginning of August Tumble is comeing here instead tho - otherwise i would go mad!

Personally. I like to put loo rolls on cats legs so they walk like a robot...

Oh wait.. that option has already been aired.
    *RAMBLE*
hallucinogenic drugs ? Tripping up toddlers on the high street... Drinking water. Ooooh.. oh. trying to draw a perfect circle using only a mouse, the dot cursor and mspaint. Or.. trying to draw the perfect circle with a willing friend at a tatoo parlour.

Those options.. Posting on hexus !

Or just have a Jaffa cake. Try to just eat one a day... just try....

    Hi Lynni,
maybe suggest to your parents that you did not understand that the deal on saving money would cost you stress as the trade-off, seriously I would have a word with them and explain that if they are nice enough to let you stay there that they need to chill out too. I imagine that it is stressful for them too having you there again. Personally I would talk it out with them, and like someone else mentioned make your room your inviolable refuge.
