I only said the thing about sales to show that they are very popular. I thought people were getting that they wernt popular.

I didnt realise The new metallica album was boycotted. Oh well.
I do really like Metallica though. Dont get me wrong, they're one of my favourites.

Metallica have done nothing of note since S&M.

Someone said somethign about Mettalica have 'Classic Songs'.

Radiohead : Creep, Paranoid Android (bohemian rhapsody of the 90s!), Karma Police, no suprises, My Iron Lung, Just, Lucky, Fake Plastic Trees, High and Dry, The Bends

Ang im sure ive missed a load..... And in the future Go To Sleep, Where I End and You Begin, 2+2=5 , The National Anthem, Morning Bell + wolf at the door Will be classics

(lets not mention unreleased stuff like Big Boots (aka man-o-war), Lift, True Love Waits, Up on the Ladder and Big Ideas(aka Nude)).........

    Bazz, whats that pic ?

Looks like its 3 against 1 here :/

It was me that said metallica had classic songs, radiohead have aswell, but metallica are still better imo.

As one last desperate stab on google i found.........

    about 1,830,000 Metallica sites

    and

    about 1,100,000 Radiohead sites

I still maintain that if you walked up to people on the street you'd find more people who knew metallica songs than people who knew radiohead songs.

imo they're good stuff (pre saint anger) is up there with zepplin and aerosmith............

Google also told me it was displaying 1 to 5 of about 7 results the other day
I do agree that they have some amazing songs and are a very good band. It IS all down to opinion.

(and the more intelligent of us prefer Radiohead )

I must be a ****ing moron then.

Metallica also have a shed load of "classic songs"

Creeping Death, Master Of Puppets, One, Nothing Else Matters, Enter Sandman, Welcome home (Sanitarium), Ride The Lightning, The Four Horseman, Blackened, The Shortest Straw, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Seek & Destroy, Motorbreath, No Remorse, Battery, Damage INC.

Everyone a bloody "classic" without a shadow of a doubt.

Dunno why this discussion is even going on, the bands are nothing like each other (thank god)

I don't hate my parents at all, and I lived at home until I was 21 (yes that's right I am not a 16 year old that thinks it's "cool" to be into a certain band)

    And WTF is

"or claim they are better than real music"

suppose to mean? What's real music? in fact what's fake music?

I can see thats going no where in particular.
It is all down to tastes. No one can say which is the better band. You can look at stats all day long but it is all down to what you like.
