Why should the females do the hard work when men can and should do it ? They are muslim women, that's why they wear headscarves. All Muslim girls do it.

I found the opening ceremony boring and pathetic apart from the Bond and Mr. Bean parts. The music through the decades and the texting and what not bit was

And, weren't there any better bands than Arctic Monkeys? Their music was rubbish! U2 or Foo fighters could have bene hired.

I was amazed at how many pretty stunning female athletes there were. Loryn Franco from Paraguay God! There are so many beautiful people in the world and so many countries as well!

The Sydney and Beijing ones were much much nicer.

I liked half and didn't like half

The Arctic Monkeys were a disappointment, not a fan of them and was sad to think that that was the best they could do.

The whole texting thing was like a cheap channel 4 soap. But the different music (especially Queen) was good. Pity the Queen couldn't smile a bit more lol. She looked bored out of her mind.

Overall, I thought it was a good show, in spite of the Daily Fail's racist attempt to decry it, here,and the Washington Post's claims it was boring, which just showed up the writer's ignorance...

I'm not a fan of the Arctic Monkeys either. Mind you, I thought Paul McCartney sounded awful too! (I still thought the ceremony was excellent, overall, though!)

I can't stand Paul to be honest and listening to his awful racket at the end of the ceremony only reinforced this. Would have been much better to have Florence and the Machine or some other good British group instead.

That is true, it was brilliant! Reminded me of the ole days in the nightclub when born slippy came on.

However rather than using Paul and focusing on the past (he ain't that good tbh) they should have picked a new or current big British group/singer.

Also why were Muse not there? They do the Olympic song and don't show up for the opening ceremony. Not amused.
