Surely the ownus (or however you spell it) is on paypal to cough up on credit card fraud. Thats why people use them isnt it? If i were you i would also email working lunch on bbc2 and see what they have to say. Find out what your rights are... just because its in ebays terms and conditions doesnt mean what they are doing is legal.

Yeah, go to trading standards. If you've abided by their terms and conditions and can provide proof that the item was delivered to the address it should have been, they clearly have to give you your money back. Refusing to do so is not only disgusting, it is also illegal, and you owe it to other users to make sure that they don't continue to rip people off in this way.

Trading Standards WILL do something about it, I'm sure of it. If I worked for them and spent most of my day busting small time market trader pirates, grocers who overcharge 10p for a tin of beans etc., I'd really relish the opportunity to get my teeth into a big company like PayPal.

its not only that but I have to pay them £7 extra for the inconvience !!!

so basically u can go buy anything u want on ebay through paypal with your credit card. then 2 months later cancel the payment through your bank and u get free goods and the seller gets nothing. well minus £7

Because the buyer's credit card issuer has returned the funds to the card owner, the amount of the above-referenced transaction has been debited from your Account. PayPal has been charged a fee from the buyer's credit card company, and a result we have had to assess your PayPal Account a chargeback settlement fee of 7.00 GBP
    will keep u posted

Absolutely disgusting, keep at it and make them give you the money back. Ebay and its associated companies are getting way, way too big for their boots.

I had heard about this sort of thing before, but I assumed it was fairly rare. Three months later is just totally unacceptable.

Ebay really is becoming a joke. They charge a lot of money for the services they provide, PayPal in particular isnt cheap, and yet it seems that they offer very little for the money these days.
so very true! eBays fee's for the service that they actually offer is totally pathetic!
