how about making a smoothy in a blender and taking it to work - or is that a bit too health conscious...

Take a bit of time to mix up in a morning, and I'd put it off doing it at night. Face it: people are lazy (Well I am!). Instant fruit like those fruit bowls are perfect. Beats chocolate and junk anyday and they don't need preperation!

but aren't they expensive? i figured the idea of taking lunch to work saves the pennies...
    e.g. sandwich at shop = £2.50-ish, every day for a week = 12.50

loaf of bread = 70p, lasts a week
chicken breasts = £5 for two [sometimes] only need cooking/marinading etc as you want it
mayo = £1-ish, maybe more but it lasts for ages
    lettuce = 50p max
so enough to last the week - maybe more since I'd reckon you'd freeze one pack of chicken- costing £8-ish
saves you £5 a week, everyweek comes to near £250...
using rough estimates for a chicken salad sarny [the standard SI unit of measuring lunch]

and fruit is way cheaper if not prepared in a nice plastic thing too. ah and there's scientific evidence that plastic used in bottles and packaging reacts with the contents and can affect hormones. wonder why some men are like women?

Not really worried about the cost too much. I usually have a (Very) light lunch and have a full dinner later on in the evening.

As for the plastic issue, well I'll leave that to your concious

i had a ham and sausage sandwich (not enough mayo tho), whoosh-tershire sauce crisps, a can of fruit twist fanta and a packet of Jaffa cakes.

The jaffas lasted about 10 minutes too, damn the coding munchies! Damn them to hell!

I won't be having lunch at work till saturday. I'll probably be having a sandwich (usually ham) with some sort of crisps, a mars bar and maybe some other chocolate bar too. Too balance off the cholocate, I might put in a banana if they're good enough to eat.

normally + 1.50 on the price of a normal sub - so a 2.49 one would cost 3.99 for a foot long

i normally go for a foot long anyway cos there so lovely, and i think ill just buy another one sooner or later ill get twice as much and save some for later....that plan never seems to work tho

as for sarnies, subway is the only way to go, firstly, are they not just beautiful, but also, u can choose anything you want on them - all pre made sarnies have mayo on - i HATE mayo and trust me EVERY sarnie has it on

its rank, its horrible, it makes me heave, subway is the only place i can find that does non mayo sarnies - and cos there damn nice.....i like to think of it as my second home
