Interesting stats, partly because last year the feeling was that it was a bad year. Maybe it wasn't as bad as we thought, or perhaps we have have taken more notice, or included people from other walks of life.

Aaron Klugg - Nobel Laureate for work in molecular biology and research on viruses. This was the result of a chance meeting on a staircase with a colleague who mentioned her field of molecular biology, which interested hime so much that he switched his research focus completely to that subject.
