Renowned physicist Stephen Hawking, died peacefully at his home near Cambrjdge aged 76, which is remarkable given that when diagnosed with a form of motor neurone disease in 1963, he was told he had just 2 years
RIP, Stephen.

Damn.
RIP
RIP Phteven
RIP indeed. A remarkable mind, perhaps the more remarkable because of his disease because, as he said, the disease caused him to marshal his thoughts in a concise way.
Also remarkable was the life support system that kept his body functioning at a biological level to keep his brain functioning.
And perhaps strange that he was never awarded a Nobel prize, possibly because some his theories have not really been proved or observed, such as the evaporation of black holes - as Professor Brian Cox stated this morning on R4.
It was in an interview on the ‘Today’ programme this morning.

Humanity and perhaps the Universe is a poorer place without Professor Stephen Hawking.. Very sad. Maybe Elon Musk can pay tribute somehow on his next Falcon Heavy launch.
